Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Glean mobile application (the “App”) operated by Maverix Agency OÜ (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Glean helps you record or import sermon audio and turn it into structured notes using automated processing, including transcription and AI-generated insights (such as summary, scripture references, practical steps), plus chat and personal notes features.
The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
2. Accounts
- The organic App Store flow uses an anonymous Firebase account created on your device.
- You are responsible for activity under your account on your device.
- You may delete your account in the App via Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes associated App data from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy (including sermons, audio, notes, chats, devices, Firebase Auth, and the related Adapty profile). Cleanup of files may finish in the background within a few minutes after the account is tombstoned.
3. Premium Subscriptions
Premium access is required for the core product experience (recording/import, AI processing, library/sermon content, chat, and related features). Without an active Premium entitlement, the App shows a paywall.
Primary offerings currently used by the App paywall (Adapty):

Additional SKUs may be offered through Adapty remote configuration / experiments (for example weekly $9.99, monthly $4.99 / $7.99, annual offer $23.99). All listed auto-renewable subscriptions unlock the same Premium access level.
Prices are in USD reference amounts; local storefront pricing, currency, and taxes may differ. Apple’s purchase sheet shows the binding price and trial terms.
4. Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation (Apple)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription where applicable under Apple’s rules.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple’s refund policies.
Deleting the App or deleting your Glean account does not cancel an Apple subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through your Apple ID subscription settings.
5. Restore Purchases
If you reinstall the App or use another device signed in to the same Apple ID, you can use Restore Purchase from the App’s paywall to restore an eligible active subscription entitlement.
6. User Content and License
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, store, transmit, process, reproduce, and display that content only as necessary to operate, secure, and provide the App features you request, including transcription and AI processing. This license does not permit us to sell your content or use it to train third-party AI models.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and process the content you submit, and that your use complies with applicable law.
7. AI-Generated Output
Transcription uses OpenAI Whisper (raw audio is sent for speech-to-text). Summaries, verse extraction, practical steps, translations, and chat answers use OpenAI GPT on derived text. Processing is orchestrated by our server in Gdańsk, Poland, while OpenAI may process submitted audio and text in other jurisdictions as described in the Privacy Policy. Output may contain errors or omissions. It is provided for personal study assistance and is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, professional advice, or authoritative scripture study resources.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, disrupting servers, abusing rate limits, uploading unlawful content, or infringing others’ rights.
9. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third parties such as Apple, Firebase, Adapty, AppsFlyer, and OpenAI. Their terms and privacy policies may also apply to their processing.
10. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maverix Agency OÜ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
